01. What happens to tap.bio on October 31
- Existing users can log in and edit pages until October 31, 2026. Per tap.bio's own announcement: "Your service continues until Oct 31, 2026."
- On October 31, the service ends and all tap.bio pages go away.
- Tap.bio's notice steers users to Link in Profile (Later's product) with 50%-off codes. Later is the officially endorsed migration path; Worktude is also running a tap.bio-alternatives funnel. If you'd rather not trade one paid-tool funnel for another, CWAXX is the free route.
- At time of writing, tap.bio does not offer a page-content export file. Save your text and links manually now, in a document, before the deadline.
02. Don't wait for the last week
Taplink is already advertising itself as the replacement, and every link-in-bio tool will be courting tap.bio users this month. The difference to look at: most free plans keep your analytics behind a paywall. Linktree reserves device and location analytics for paid tiers and data export for its top tier (per multiple independent 2026 pricing reviews). CWAXX includes clicks per link, referrers, countries, cities, and devices free on the plan that costs you nothing, because the whole point of moving is not landing in another trap. CSV export is a CWAXX Premium feature (24h, 7d, 28d, 90d, or 12-month ranges with session-level detail); Linktree likewise reserves data export for its top paid tier.
03. Moving takes minutes
Tap.bio has no export file yet, so this is a manual move, but a short one:
- Open your tap.bio dashboard and copy your links, their order, and your bio text into any document.
- Claim your CWAXX profile (cwaxx.com/username) and add the links: unlimited links, social accounts, and contact info on one page.
- Swap the tap.bio URL for your CWAXX URL in your social bios.
Your tap.bio page keeps working until October 31, so there's no downtime. Move now, switch the URL whenever you're ready.
04. What you get on CWAXX (free)
- Your public profile: cwaxx.com/username
- Unlimited links, social accounts, and contact info
- Clicks per link, profile views over time
- Referrer sources: see which platform sends your traffic
- Countries and cities, devices and platforms
- Fast-loading pages on phones, tablets, and desktops
- CSV export of your data on CWAXX Premium (24h, 7d, 28d, 90d, or 12-month ranges, per-link and session-level detail). For comparison: Linktree reserves data export for its top paid tier too.
No credit card. No trial that expires. The free plan is the product, not a demo.
05. FAQ
01Is tap.bio really shutting down?
Yes. That's tap.bio's own announcement, not a rumor: their homepage says "We're winding down Tap Bio. Your service continues until Oct 31, 2026." (observed Oct 9, 2026). If you have an account, you'll see the same notice there.
02How long does it take to move?
Minutes for a typical page. There's no automated export from tap.bio at time of writing, so you copy your links over once. One sitting, done.
03What about my tap.bio URL / QR codes?
Your tap.bio link dies on October 31 regardless of what you do. That's the reason to move now and update your bios and any printed QR materials to your new CWAXX URL while you still have time.
04Why CWAXX instead of the other tools courting tap.bio users?
Two honest reasons: (1) the analytics are free, not a paid tier: clicks per link, referrers, geo, devices (CSV export with per-session detail is the one analytics feature we keep on Premium, with 24h to 12-month ranges); (2) it's a profile, not a button list: your identity, work, and contact info are readable on the page, which is what a bio link is for.
